BENTONE® HC is a highly refined hectorite suitable for the thickening and flow control of aqueous systems. Besides, it is also applied to adsorbing and flocculating specific substances.

Characteristics 

Applications 

Usually used as water-borne flocculant in waste water treatment containing automobile coatings. It can also be used in high-quality construction mortar to improve the rheology.

 Recommended dosage

 Typical levels range from 0.3–2.0 % based on the total formulation（in slurry）. It is better to prepare a pre-gel at around 10 % solids, preferably in warm water. High-shear forces are required for 20–30 minutes.
